🌱 Strengthening the Organic Input Sector in Kenya

The Private Sector Markets and Consumers Thematic Working Group of the Intersectoral Forum on Agroecology and Agrobiodiversity (ISFAAKenya) brought together regulators and stakeholders for the Sensitization Workshop for Organic Input Manufacturers.

▪️ IBMA Kenya shared insights on its role in advancing biocontrol and the regulatory bodies it works closely with that is KWS, KEPHIS, PCPB, KRA and KEBS.
▪️ Organic Fertilizers and Input Manufacturers Association of Kenya (OFIMAK) presented their mission, current work, and aspirations for the organic fertilizer industry.
▪️ Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service – Kephis delivered a detailed overview of the registration and certification process for organic input manufacturers.
▪️ KEBS and KRA also shared their perspectives, outlining standards, taxation, and regulatory frameworks that shape the sector.

This workshop was a step toward building an enabling business environment for organic input manufacturers aligning efforts toward sustainable agriculture and food systems.
